The right combination of these 27 letters would be sufficient to name and describe anything. Even to invent new words and languages. Or even to make a film about a collaboration project between artists and companies.
If the screens in the old cinemas used to finish up with The End in black and white, the letter “A” of cinema history began life in a picture factory: Workers leaving the Lumière factory (1895). How many times have I tried to recover those actions in the recording of this documentary? Many. I would even dare to write that this whole nine month long working process could be condensed into a collection of entries and exits into and out of companies and artists’ studios. Arrival. Recording of images, voices and sounds. Exit.
That is how this documentary has taken shape: letter by letter, visit by visit, recording by recording. And what created this alphabet film were the words, images and responses of all the participants to my question, which was about how they would define the Disonancias experience in words.
At the same time, a blog has documented the own process of the documentary developped between Victor Iriarte and EiTB.
