Disonancias

The workplace, where we spend an important part of our lives, is (or ought to be)a priority for workers and business people. This was the subject around which our project was developed for Polo Garaia.

Without a balanced work space where the needs of employees enjoy an equality of conditions with the needs of economic activity, innovation cannot flow freely.

Many offices, studies and work spaces are lacking in these requisites. Most employees perceive their place of work as boring, monotonous and stressful. In contrast, companies whose names are in circulation as examples to watch for their ability to develop strategies that integrate innovation as a structural part of organisation, stand out for allocating a preponderant role to work place design.

To transform already existing workplaces is an arduous task, because they are linked to an authoritarian organisation of industrial work based on competition which has created a mindset hard to change.

So then, our proposal for Polo Garaia consists in the design of a Collaboration Room for occasional use where interaction, visual thought, beauty, fun, abundance and tools are key concepts for the creation of a workplace where various people –a work team– can meet up to jointly develop their business and/or professional activity.
